Lexia Snowe Fiction

Published from a young age as a literary writer, Lex has lately been turning her hand to the genres in which she has developed advanced fluency in her scriptwriting: crime fiction, espionage and thrillers.

Time for writing fiction is limited, with scriptwriting projects taking priority for the moment. All the same, Lex expects to complete a handful of short stories in 2017, as well as to make progress -- either through completion of a draft, or polishing of a detailed synopsis -- with several ideas for novels.

Fiction: Working On

Redondo.

Novel. Supernatural thriller set in South Bay, California; Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' meets Philip K. Dick's 'Minority Report'. A young man is told he is destined to commit a murder, and sets out to change his seemingly pre-written future... but is he simply sealing it? 'Redondo' questions the relationship between fate and the future: do we make our futures ourselves, or does the idea of a pre-determined future make us?

Status: A first draft already exists as a novella. Next draft of the full novel likely to be completed in fall 2017.

Cogwork.

Short story. Dark comedy crime fiction, in which a reluctant FBI informer is undone by his heartstrings.

Status: Next draft of the short story to be completed in February 2017.

Simulant.

Novel synopsis. Sci-fi thriller centered on a troubled software engineer who finds himself accused of murder after manipulating a social network app.

Status: Next draft of the detailed synopsis (20pp) to be completed by February 2017.

The Spared.

Novel synopsis. Political espionage thriller. A young American on vacation in Europe is thrust into the international spotlight after a terrorist attack. Suspected, then slowly befriended by a jaded CIA agent, the American is forced on the run after his complicated past and online activities reveal he is not the innocent he seems.

Status: Next draft of the detailed synopsis (20pp) to be completed by February 2017.
