Lexia Snowe Scriptwriting

A graduate of London International Film School, Lex writes feature-length, TV and short scripts in the thriller, crime fiction and sci fi genres (with the occasional action comedy project sneaking into the mix).

Early drafts of Lexia Snowe's scripts have placed in the Nicholl Fellowships Quarter Finals (2012, 2013, 2014); Screencraft Short Script Contest (Semi-Finalist, 2015); and Sundance Episodic Storytelling Lab (Second Round, 2015).

With 2016 dedicated to completing a number of long-gestating screenwriting projects, Lex is excited to be finally taking those scripts to market in 2017. Visit the News page for updates.

The Girl Out

This contained crime thriller, set in Los Angeles, is to become Lexia Snowe's feature-length debut as a writer-director in 2018. With a small cast and a claustrophobic plot, THE GIRL OUT has been strategically written for low-budget production, while maintaining strong genre drive and commercial appeal.

Status: Third draft of the screenplay to be completed by May 2017.

Witness Project (WT)

This contemporary crime thriller plays on the limitations and subterfuge of eyewitness testimony in its 13-episode investigation into an intricate crime. Twelve witnesses, and one of them is guilty. The show's unusual format invites the audience at home to piece together the truth themselves... before whodunnit becomes an against-the-clock thriller. Think: 'And Then There Were None' (Agatha Christie) meets Showtime's 'The Affair'.

Status: First draft of the pilot script to be completed by February 2017.

Code Blue

Long-gestating action thriller, set in a near-futuristic New York City. The use of digital data by law enforcement leaves ordinary citizens -- and their leaders -- vulnerable to ruthless criminals. A hotheaded SWAT officer must covertly fight her way back from disgrace to outwit and contain their criminal infiltrators.

Status: Nineteenth (!) draft of the script to be completed by March 2017.

Freight Run

Action sci-fi thriller. In the near future, a grieving police officer is taken captive by a criminal gang who intend to use her credentials to escape their hard-scrabble lives. After an unexpected connection forms between the officer and the gang, the future, and definition of survival, changes for them all.

Status: Fifth draft of the script to be completed by May 2017.

Midnight Oil

Lexia Snowe is to direct this self-penned action comedy short in 2017. A cubicle rat sets out to blackmail the powerful corporation employing him; first, he must fight his psychotically loyal supervisor.

Status: Script is in pre-production; principal photography in June 2017.

Outbound

Serialized espionage thriller. Three US Marshals are dispatched to Paris in pursuit of a ruthless and well-connected financial criminal. Political distrust of Americans, and the discovery of corruption in the CIA, complicate their progress.

Status: Next draft of the pilot script to be completed by February 2017.

Sell Out

A rare comedy project! This 30-minute action comedy show follows two broke actresses and the inventive ways they make rent in the Hollywood underworld.

Status: Next draft of the long-gestating pilot script to be completed by February 2017.

Effigy Project (WT)

Domestic terrorism thriller, set in contemporary Los Angeles. A fractured family, underestimated journalist and outwitted SWAT commander must find ways to work together against the clock, as terrorists turn an everyday city feature against its citizens.

Status: Next draft of the feature script to be completed by May 2017.
